Johnny Weatherby joined Weatherbys in 1979. He was seconded to the Jockey Club as a Director from 1990-1992, and returned to Weatherbys as Chairman of the Group and the Bank in 1993. He is Her Majesty’s Representative and Chairman of Ascot Racecourse, and a Member of the Jockey Club.
Adrian Crichton, BA, MBA, Private Banking Director, joined the board in September 2006 from Barclays Wealth Management division. He has extensive experience of wealth management in the UK and abroad, latterly as a Director of Barclays International and Private Banking.
Phil Jackson, ACIB, joined Weatherbys Bank in 1998 after a career with Yorkshire Bank and National Australia Bank. He held a number of management positions in retail branch management, corporate business banking and regional lending control. He is a member at Cheltenham Racecourse.
Chris Gibson, ACIB, joined Weatherbys Private Banking in Jan 2009, having previously worked for Singer & Friedlander Ltd and Adam & Company where he was responsible for a large portfolio of private clients. He has extensive banking experience and is a qualified financial adviser.
Tom Fitzgerald O'Connor, ACISI, joined Weatherbys Private Banking in 2006 from Allied Irish Private Banking. He began his banking career with RBS and has developed strong banking experience, having worked in Mid - Corporate and Private Banking sectors. In addition to which he is a qualified financial adviser.
Mervyn Harmon, joined Weatherbys in 2009 and has some 26 years banking experience with RBS and HBOS. He has undertaken various commercial banking management roles including a spell as an Agricultural Manager. He enjoys horse racing and is an all round sports enthusiast.
David joined the team in 2010, moving from a similar role within a national firm of accountants. His expertise lies in providing understandable solutions for complex planning scenarios. He is a Chartered Financial Planner and also holds the Investment Managers Certificate. Prior to his financial industry employment, David worked directly within the Racing industry as an assistant trainer and amateur rider and he still lives in Newmarket, where his wife rides out every day. His experience of the industry means he can relate to, and empathise with, the issues and concerns of many of our clients.
Roger Weatherby, M.Sc. FSI, joined Weatherbys as a non-executive Director in 1993. He joined the group board as an Executive Director in 1998 and became Chief Executive of Weatherbys Bank in 2000. Prior to joining Weatherbys, he worked for Cazenove & Co. He is Chairman of the Racing Foundation and a Member of the Jockey Club.
Nicholas Ryder joined the board as Executive Director in 2011, having previously sat on the Weatherbys Bank Ltd board as a non-executive Director for 10 years. He joins us with a wealth of investment experience gained during Directorships held at Cazenove Capital Management, previously Thornhill Holdings Ltd, Gerrard and King Ltd and Cater Allen Holdings PLC. Nicholas holds several outside Directorships.
Simon joined Weatherbys Private Bank in 2010, bringing significant experience in providing sophisticated objective financial planning support for clients. Immediately prior to joining Weatherbys, he was Head of Financial Planning at C.Hoare & Co. Simon is one of a relatively few number of planners qualified as both a Certified Financial Planner through the Institute Of Financial Planning and a Chartered Financial Planner through the Chartered Insurance Institute.
Stephen joined Weatherbys Private Banking in January 2010, having spent most of his professional life at Coutts & Co where he provided banking and wealth management to UK and international personal and corporate clients. Immediately prior to joining Weatherbys he was the investment advisor to a US family and their charitable foundation. Stephen is a qualified financial planner, and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Robert Ball, ACIB MCISI, joined Weatherbys Private Banking in May 2012, bringing with him extensive banking experience, from his career of over 25 years with HSBC Group. He has over 15 years’ experience managing private clients in the Private Banking sector.
Suzanne joined Weatherbys in 2007, bringing with her 20 years Banking experience. She began her banking career with HSBC and has worked for ING Lease and Abbey/Santander. Suzanne has experience in both the Personal and Corporate sector in a wide range of roles.
Dominic joined Weatherbys in May 2012 bringing with him 21 years of banking experience. He began his career with Lloyds Bank where he specialised in Trade Finance. Dominic then spent 14 years with Alliance & Leicester Plc where he undertook various treasury dealing roles including foreign exchange, money markets and asset management.
