Johnny Weatherby joined Weatherbys in 1979. He was seconded to the Jockey Club as a Director from 1990-1992, and returned to Weatherbys as Chairman of the Group and the Bank in 1993. He is Her Majesty’s Representative and Chairman of Ascot Racecourse, and a Member of the Jockey Club.
Adrian Crichton, BA, MBA, Private Banking Director, joined the board in September 2006 from Barclays Wealth Management division. He has extensive experience of wealth management in the UK and abroad, latterly as a Director of Barclays International and Private Banking.
Nicholas Ryder joined the board as Executive Director in 2011, having previously sat on the Weatherbys Bank Ltd board as a non-executive Director for 10 years. He joins us with a wealth of investment experience gained during Directorships held at Cazenove Capital Management, previously Thornhill Holdings Ltd, Gerrard and King Ltd and Cater Allen Holdings PLC. Nicholas holds several outside Directorships.
Johnny Eddis, Non-Executive Director, joined the Board in 2007. He is currently Managing Director of N M Rothschild & Sons Ltd. For the last 6 years he has been Head of the Financial Services Group in the corporate finance division. Prior to that he qualified as a chartered accountant with KPMG.
Roger Weatherby, M.Sc. FSI, joined Weatherbys as a non-executive Director in 1993. He joined the group board as an Executive Director in 1998 and became Chief Executive of Weatherbys Bank in 2000. Prior to joining Weatherbys, he worked for Cazenove & Co. He is Chairman of Racing Welfare and a Member of the Jockey Club.
Andrew Turberville Smith ACA, joined the Board in 2006. Previously he was regional finance director for Towergate Partnership and prior to that he spent 10 years in investment banking with JO Hambro Magan, Natwest Corporate Finance and latterly Hawkpoint Partners. He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1991 with Price Waterhouse. Presently he represents smaller banks on the FSA's Smaller Businesses Practitioner Panel.
Geoff Bartholomew, Non-Executive Director since 2001, joined the Board after a long career with Coutts & Co., during which time he held a number of Senior Management positions in the Bank's Central Marketing and Lending Control Functions and in the Management of substantial London Branches. He has a wide experience of Private and Commercial banking issues.
Paul Greeves, Non-Executive Director since 2002, first joined Weatherbys in 1970 and joined the board in 1983. For 10 years he was seconded to the Jockey Club before joining the newly created British Horseracing Board as their Racing Director. In January 2002 he re-joined Weatherbys as Operations Director. He is a Trustee of the Thoroughbred Breeders Association and is Chairman of the Trustees of the Northern Racing College.
