At Weatherbys Bank we understand that Internet Banking requires the highest levels of security and confidentiality. weatherbysbank.com not only uses a secure server but we also ensure that the site is protected by 128 bit encryption, the latest in such technology. We are constantly monitoring this to be sure that we keep up to date with encryption advances. We also understand, however, that no level of encryption will work if access to the site is easy. The site has recently undergone a penetration test (or Hacker Test) by a Government approved computer security firm. It passed with flying colours. It is for this reason that we seek to maximise the entry security with a mixture of unique identification codes, passwords and PIN numbers. How do I apply?
Initial registration is offline. Please e-mail us to request a registration card, or alternatively call the Internet Helpdesk on 01933 304777. Once we receive your completed registration card, the registration is processed, and your Welcome Pack and Security details will be sent within 5 working days.
How do I access my Weatherbys accounts?
Simply click on to www.weatherbysbank.com, and log-on using your given security details.
What do I need to log-on to Weatherbys Online Banking?
You will need internet access with the minimum system requirements of either Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or Netscape Navigator 6.0.
Is the service available 24 hours?
Yes, though there will be occasions when the site is temporarily unavailable for essential maintenance work.
How often are my balances updated?
Weatherbys Online Banking is linked securely to the Weatherbys Bank database. This means you will see your transactions as we do.
How will I get my statements?
Your paper statements will be sent as normal. However, you will now also be able to view up to the last 3 months transactions at any time online.
When will internal transfers be processed?
Transfers between Weatherbys Bank accounts will be processed immediately.
When will external transfers and bill payments be processed?
When will Future Dated external transfers and bill payments be processed?
Future dated payments will be processed overnight on the specified date. For example, a payment dated for Monday, will be processed overnight, sent on Tuesday and received by the beneficiary on Thursday. A payment dated Friday will be sent Monday and received by the beneficiary on Wednesday. All instructions are subject to cleared funds being available.
Can CHAPS or Telegraphic Transfer payments be made online?
No, but of course the Online Banking system is an addition to the existing bank facilities offered, so CHAPS and T.T. payments can still be made via telephone to the help desk or by letter.
What if there is more than one signatory required to authorise payments?
In these circumstances, the account will only be registered online for enquiry access, i.e. both parties can view balances and transactions, but not move money, order cheque books etc. On accounts where there is an either/or signatory position, all signatories can register the account will full access, and will each be given their own security details.
From which countries can I access my accounts?
Virtually any country in the world, though the 128-bit encryption used on the site is prohibited in some countries. It is your responsibility to check the legal position before using this site abroad.
